OpenAI Launches Canvas Editing Tool for All ChatGPT Users

OpenAI has made its Canvas editing tool available to all ChatGPT users. Originally launched in October, Canvas is part of OpenAI’s “12 days of OpenAI” announcements. The tool helps users edit, improve, and get feedback on code written by ChatGPT.

Canvas provides a notebook-like interface that sits next to ChatGPT. This setup allows users to edit text and code while chatting with the AI. The tool supports collaboration, letting both users and ChatGPT work on the same document. ChatGPT can offer suggestions and comments to improve the content.

Canvas is free for all users, but those on free accounts will have limited access. It can be used on the web or through the ChatGPT desktop app for Windows.

A key feature of Canvas is the ability to run Python code directly within the document. Users can also use the notebook for custom GPTs.

In addition, OpenAI has introduced a premium subscription plan called ChatGPT Pro, priced at $200 per month, and an AI video generator named Sora, which is available to Plus and Pro users.
