Soham Mazumdar, one of the founders of Rubrik, has started a new company called WisdomAI. This startup helps businesses use AI to analyze data, even if the data is messy or full of typos. It recently raised $23 million in funding from investors like Coatue, Madrona, GTM Capital, and others.
WisdomAI lets business managers ask simple questions like, “How can I close more deals this quarter?” Instead of waiting for reports from data teams, they get instant answers. The AI shows which deals are delayed and why — such as questions customers are still waiting on.
Mazumdar says using WisdomAI is fast. What normally takes several people and lots of time can now be done with just a few clicks.
One oil and gas company is already using WisdomAI. Their workers use it in the field to ask questions about production, pulling answers from documents and live sensor data. Other early users include ConocoPhillips, Cisco, and Descope.
Many AI tools today use natural language to answer questions, but they often make mistakes, known as hallucinations — giving answers that sound right but are wrong. WisdomAI is different. It only uses AI to write small programs (queries) to search the right data. The answers always come from real data, not guesses.
It also works with major data platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, and Postgres. WisdomAI learns how to use these systems by studying how users already search them.
In short, WisdomAI helps companies get accurate answers fast, using real data, without making things up — even when the data isn’t perfect.
