Sonio, a femtech medical company, has introduced Soniopedia, a tool for learning and training in prenatal ultrasound.
Soniopedia uses an AI model trained on various fetal medicine databases. It simulates real cases to help healthcare professionals understand ultrasound findings and their possible genetic implications. The cloud-based platform connects 4,684 malformations, 1,177 clinical signs, and 479 syndromes.
Sonio and the Ecole Polytechnique have jointly patented this technology, developed from Rémi Besson’s research at Necker Hospital. This AI tool supports clinical expertise.
Soniopedia was first shown at the Fetal Medicine Foundation World Congress in Lisbon, Portugal. It can manage 3,700 possible combinations to help simulate the correct diagnosis. The software analyzes ultrasound signs, medical history, risk factors, and genetic information.
