Google’s DeepMind and BioNTech are working together to create AI-powered lab assistants that can help researchers plan experiments and predict results. This is part of a larger effort by tech companies to invest in AI, which is changing fields like healthcare, energy, and education.

Sir Demis Hassabis, head of Google’s AI division, is leading this project. He shared that AI is transforming biology, and their new AI assistant will help researchers in labs by predicting the outcomes of experiments.

Details about the partnership between DeepMind and BioNTech are still being worked out. However, BioNTech and its AI subsidiary, InstaDeep, have already launched an AI assistant called Laila. Laila can perform tasks like analyzing DNA and monitoring lab experiments in real-time, helping scientists focus on more important tasks.

Karim Beguir, CEO of InstaDeep, said that AI assistants like Laila are meant to boost productivity, not fully replace human work. This project is expected to make a big impact on industries like biotech and energy, helping companies that use AI to lead the way in future innovations.
