Samsung Electronics has kicked off the year with exciting AI updates for its top-selling smart TVs. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, the company revealed its latest television lineup and introduced Vision AI, a powerful suite of AI features.

New TV Lineup

Samsung showcased new models, including the Neo QLED 8K QN990F and QN900F, as well as Neo QLED 4K options like the QN90F, QN80F, and QN70F. Updates to Samsung’s OLED TVs, such as the S95F, S90F, and S85F, were also announced.

What Is Vision AI?

Vision AI adds smart features to enhance the TV experience. Key features include:

  • Click to Search: Instantly identify actors, locations, or products shown on screen.
  • Samsung Food: Recognizes meals on TV, provides recipes, and syncs with Samsung refrigerators to create shopping lists or order groceries.
  • Live Translate: Offers real-time subtitle translations in many languages, making global content accessible.
  • AI Home Security: Monitors your home using built-in microphones and connected cameras, sending alerts to your TV or smartphone for unusual sounds or movements.
  • Generative AI: Creates custom wallpapers and images for your TV.

Samsung describes Vision AI as a way to make TVs interactive and personalized, offering entertainment, security, and lifestyle features in one seamless package.

New AI-Powered Features in TVs

The Neo QLED 8K QN990F is designed for a premium experience with:

  • An ultra-slim, glare-free design.
  • The NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor with 8K upscaling and HDR remastering.
  • Adaptive sound for immersive audio.
  • A Wireless One Connect Box to eliminate cable clutter and work up to 10 meters away.

Samsung’s Neo QLED 4K TVs also include advanced AI technology:

  • The NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor for 4K upscaling.
  • A 165Hz refresh rate, perfect for gaming.
  • Large size options, such as the 100-inch QN80F and the 115-inch QN90F.
