Yandex has introduced Yazeka, a new AI-powered search engine designed specifically for Turkish users. Alexander Popovskiy, CEO of Yandex Search Türkiye, announced that Yazeka launched in December and aims to be a trusted, long-term partner for Türkiye.
At a business event in Istanbul, Popovskiy spoke about Yandex’s investments in Türkiye, digital growth strategies, and future plans. He highlighted that Yazeka offers a different approach from traditional search engines by focusing on trusted and reliable sources.
$400 Million Investment in Türkiye
Yandex is investing $400 million to strengthen its presence in Türkiye. The company supports fair competition, digital transformation, and a strong tech ecosystem. Popovskiy stated that Yandex is committed to hiring local talent and improving its AI technology to offer better search experiences.
More Than a Search Engine
Yazeka is powered by advanced AI and delivers instant, accurate answers instead of making users browse through multiple pages. Popovskiy called it a “finding engine” rather than just a search engine. Unlike traditional AI chatbots that may provide outdated responses, Yazeka ensures real-time, verified answers.
Yandex has already invested $120 million in Türkiye and plans to increase its investments over the next two years to enhance its AI-powered technology.
