YouTube Music has new features. One is “hum to search,” which helps you find songs by humming, singing, or playing a tune. This feature is now available on both iOS and Android.
Here’s how it works: tap the search button, look for the waveform icon, and start humming or singing. The app will recognize the melody and find the song for you, giving you details like the title, artist, and album.
Another new feature is AI-generated radio. This lets you create custom radio stations by describing the music you want to hear. For example, you can say “upbeat pop songs,” and the AI will make a station with those kinds of songs. Right now, this feature is only for some Premium subscribers in the U.S., but it may be available to more users later.
To use these features, you need a YouTube Music subscription. For “hum to search,” tap the search button and select the waveform icon. For the AI radio, look for the “Ask for music any way you like” card in the app. Click on it, enter your music description, and enjoy your custom radio station.
