Alipay, part of Ant Group, has added a new AI feature to its app that helps users learn from uploaded images.
The tool, called “Tanyixia,” can analyze pictures of plants, animals, food, or cartoons. It provides useful information, such as translating menus or giving medication instructions.
By Tuesday morning, more than 20,000 users had tried the tool. This shows how Alipay has grown from a payment app started 20 years ago into a multifunctional platform for Chinese users.
