YouTube has introduced a new AI feature designed to help video creators on its platform. This tool is powered by Google’s AI chatbot, Gemini, and it helps creators come up with video ideas, titles, and thumbnails. The AI can also suggest an outline for the video. Right now, this tool is in beta testing and is only available to a few selected YouTube creators.
YouTube shared this news on its Creator Insider channel. The AI tool is part of the platform’s integration with Gemini, and it works alongside an existing AI tool called “Ideas and Outlines.” This feature allows creators to generate video outlines based on text prompts and suggests similar ideas to enhance content.
The company has also made this new AI tool available in India, with the demonstration shown in Hindi. It’s unclear if other languages are supported yet.
When creators open YouTube Studio and type in a video idea, they will see options to use either Gemini or the in-house AI tool. YouTube is testing which of these features creators prefer. A company spokesperson mentioned that this tool is part of a limited experiment, and based on feedback, YouTube will decide if they will roll it out to more users.
