Google has made a number of announcements for those interested in AI training. They’re expanding the Google Certificates Program with additional resources and courses, which will now be provided in 18 new languages — making it accessible to more people.
The company is also investing €25 million ($27.9 million) in the AI Opportunity Initiative for Europe, an initiative created to help workers understand how artificial intelligence is used in different fields and gain practical experience.
As part of this effort, Google is partnering with the Centre for Public Impact to launch the “AI Opportunity Fund: Europe,” which will provide tailored AI training in local languages and cash grants for social enterprises/nonprofits to use on things like childcare or additional support.
While many of Google’s AI courses are offered free, some specialized ones may require a fee through platforms like Coursera. Scholarships are also available for select courses across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
