YouTube has introduced a new AI tool to help users recover their hacked accounts. This tool, described as a “troubleshooting assistant” by Google, is available on the YouTube Help Center. The chatbot asks a series of questions to guide creators through securing their Google accounts and fixing any changes made to their YouTube channels.
Right now, the assistant is only available in English and is limited to some creators. However, Google plans to make it available to all YouTube creators in the future. The tool works like a basic support chatbot without any unusual AI issues. But it still doesn’t fully address one common complaint: it’s hard to reach YouTube directly when problems happen. Smaller creators often struggle to get help, while large creators can more easily connect with a YouTube representative.
Adding this AI chatbot might disappoint some creators who were hoping for better communication from YouTube, especially since hacking problems have affected even big channels like Linus Tech Tips and have taken smaller creators a long time to fix.
